Financial Manager
Rutherford Cross is working with a growing SME based in Glasgow to appoint an experienced Interim Finance Manager to support the business during an important phase of development and growth. This is a part-time role for an initial 6-month period, working 3 or 4 days per week. The successful candidate will manage the finance function, ensure accurate reporting and oversee one Finance Assistant.
Key Responsibilities- Take ownership of day-to-day finance operations
- Produce monthly management accounts with clear commentary and insight
- Cashflow forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Improve financial visibility, profitability and cost control
- Strengthen financial governance, controls, and reporting
- Support margin analysis and business level performance>
- Liaise with external accountants and advisors
- Line manage Finance Assistant
- Support acquisition due diligence and post-acquisition integration
- ACCA/CIMA/ICAS (or equivalent)
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager within an SME environment
- Strong accounting, reporting and Excel skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience improving finance processes and governance
- Available at short notice
- Competitive day rate (umbrella PAYE)
