CORDS KYC Refresh Production Associate – Morgan Stanley

Client Onboarding & Regulatory Data Services (CORDS) is an Operations function within Morgan Stanley responsible for regulatory client onboarding, refresh and screening of the firm's clients. The High Risk KYC Refresh team manages the refresh program across global jurisdictions and ensures timely, accurate completion of periodic refresh reviews.

• Perform timely and accurate completion of periodic KYC Refresh reviews for the firm's clients.
• Engage with clients to collect required documents and associated information to meet regulatory and internal policies.
• Serve as point of contact for KYC and/or designated clients.
• Stay current with regulatory changes and requirements around client KYC, suitability and documentation.
• Escalate identified risks during the documentation review process.
• Engage in continuous process improvement and innovation.
• Act as a subject matter expert on required AML/KYC documents and processes.
• Discuss and escalate with Financial Crime stakeholders issues surrounding client types and structures, financial products and services, and other AML risk‑related matters.
• Lead ongoing change initiatives and build/maintain understanding of MS policies and regulatory environment.

• Previous experience in an AML/KYC role, preferably in case management or QC.
• Strong attention to detail and dedication to high quality standards.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, confident in engaging with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, prioritization and organizational skills.
• Strong risk and controls awareness.

• Good client focus and ability to partner with internal groups and clients.
• Capacity to think laterally and understand the bigger picture.
• Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize/multi-task.
• Team collaboration skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet fixed deadlines.
• Effective escalation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office tools.
• Certification in AML/KYC (e.g., CAMS) desirable but not essential.
