Salary: £27,500 – £41,300 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits supporting your finances, wellbeing and family.

The RoleJoin the R2R Centre of Excellence on our journey to shape the future of finance, focusing on continuous improvement, technical expertise and innovation. The role is an Analyst within our Renewables team, supporting Accountants in delivering month‑end general ledger close, undertaking account reconciliations and supporting statutory audit and financial reporting. You will drive best practices in reporting and processes across SSE Finance.
Responsibilities- Month‑end journal postings, explaining and analysing variances.
- Bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Involvement in half‑year and year‑end audit, including subsidiary companies and liaising with external auditors.
- Preparation of VAT returns and other regulated reports.
- Completion of monthly controls within your remit.
- Relevant accounting experience gained in a similar role, with the ability to analyse and interpret data.
- Knowledge of key balance sheet account reconciliations and strong attention to detail.
- Strong IT skills using Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong financial systems experience (Oracle desirable).
