Position: Electrician - E&M[1179290]

The Vacancy WGM Engineering is one of Scotland’s leading engineering solution providers. We are now seeking an experienced Electrician to join our E&M division, specialising in Fixed Wire Testing. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a forward‑thinking team working across.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspection and testing of electrical installations on Scottish Water assets.
  • Identify, fault-find, and rectify a range of electrical issues efficiently.
  • Complete remedial works following testing activities.
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance tasks (MSTs) on SW apparatus.
  • Deliver electrical compliance in line with the electrical skills matrix.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of current electrical regulations (BS7671).
  • Complete and input all required NICEIC certification.
  • Interpret RAMS documentation and deliver daily briefings.
  • Perform electrical isolations and process instructions in accordance with WGM Electrical Safety Rules (ESR).
  • Achieve and maintain Competent Person (CP) status per WGM ESR requirements.
About You
  • 2–3 years’ experience in an electrical role, ideally within an engineering environment.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Time-served electrician status or a relevant electrical qualification.
  • Qualification to 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
