An established engineering consultancy is seeking an

to support the delivery of high-quality electrical building services design across a range of sectors. This role is ideal for an engineer looking to develop technical expertise, take ownership of design tasks, and progress towards Chartered status within a collaborative consultancy environment.

• Lead the electrical design on multiple small projects (up to £5m) or act as lead engineer on a medium-sized project (up to £20m).
• Prepare electrical designs in line with client briefs, specifications, and relevant standards.
• Contribute to overall project delivery and implementation.
• Attend internal and external project meetings as required.
• Produce electrical design drawings using AutoCAD.
• Carry out electrical calculations and modelling where required.
• Manage personal deliverables to ensure work is completed within agreed internal project budgets.
• Prepare clear written reports for internal and external use.
• Participate in quality control processes and document management in line with company systems.
• Undertake design audits and assist with building surveys where appropriate.
• Support and contribute to the mentoring of junior team members.
• Carry out any other duties appropriate to the role.

• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in electrical building services design within a consultancy or similar environment.
• Working towards Chartered Engineer status with a recognised professional body.
• Familiar with UK electrical standards and regulations.
• Competent using AutoCAD and undertaking engineering calculations.
• Well organised, proactive, and comfortable working within project teams.
