Controls and Instrument Engineer / County of Lanarkshire/ Industrial Manufacturing / £60k-£70k + benefits Overview

You'll play a key role in ensuring the reliability, accuracy, and performance of instrumentation and automation systems that are critical to operational success.

• Develop and manage calibration systems and schedules in line with recognised industry standards
• Perform and oversee calibration of a wide range of process instrumentation
• Analyse calibration results, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions
• Specify, procure, and commission new control and instrumentation equipment
• Troubleshoot process control and calibration issues with production and quality teams
• Support and maintain automation platforms including PLCs, SCADA, and HMI systems
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and change records
• Deliver training to operational teams on systems and procedures
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality requirements
• Evaluate emerging technologies to support continuous improvement

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Process Control, or related discipline
• Proven experience in calibration and process control within manufacturing or process industries
• Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation
• Experience with PLC and SCADA platforms and process data systems
• Familiarity with internationally recognised quality and environmental standards
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and collaborative working style

• £60,000 - £70,000 (DOE)
