FPGA Engineer

Position: FPGA Engineer (Contract)
Contract:

6-9 months, outside IR35, rate DOE, Glasgow, 2 days on-site

Responsibilities:

Support in the design of Altera FPGA firmware for an embedded medical device
Work with an Agilex 5 SoC, focusing on the FPGA/fabric side
Implement high speed data protocols, potentially including LPDDR4x, serialised ADC data over LVDS, AXI bus
Write test benches for FPGA design verification
Simulate and verify functionality of the design
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary technical team to reduce the technical design timeline
Documentation of design to meet requirements of ISOQuality management system for medical devices)
Essential

Skills:

Knowledge of FPGA development, particularly Altera FPGAs
Quartus & Modelsim/Questasim
VHDL
Testbench design, both module and top-level
RTL and gate-level simulation of test benches
Revision control systems, particularly Github
