Senior Mechanical Estimator

Salary up to £75,000 (DOE).

Location:

Scotland / Central Belt. Leading M&E / Building Services Contractor.

We're working with a well-established M&E contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator to support a strong and growing pipeline of work across commercial, healthcare, education, and industrial projects.

This is a key role within the business, offering long-term stability, autonomy, and the opportunity to influence bid strategy and commercial success.

• Preparing accurate mechanical estimates and tenders for projects ranging from small works to large-scale developments
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
• Producing cost plans, take-offs, and value engineering options
• Working closely with pre-construction, commercial, and delivery teams
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
• Supporting bid submissions and tender presentations where required
• Contributing to continuous improvement of estimating processes

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within building services / M&E
• Experience pricing commercial mechanical packages
• Strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical building services
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
• Commercially astute with strong attention to detail
• Confident communicator, comfortable working with internal teams and clients

• Salary up to £75,000 depending on experience
