Senior Quantity Surveyor – Shaping the Future of Renewable Energy

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a highly respected civil engineering contractor based in Glasgow. The business has a strong reputation for delivering complex and innovative infrastructure projects, including wind farms, battery storage facilities, and substations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all commercial, contractual, and financial aspects of construction projects

  • Ensure projects are delivered within budget and to the highest quality standards

  • Lead risk management, value engineering, and cost control initiatives

  • Prepare, review, and assess tender costings

  • Provide advice on contractual claims and dispute resolution

  • Analyse project performance and produce detailed financial and progress reports

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building contracts, legislation, and industry regulations

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a Quantity Surveying role within civil engineering

  • Strong understanding of construction methods and materials

  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities

  • Sound knowledge of contract law and industry regulations

  • Proficiency in relevant quantity surveying software

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team
