The Field Service Engineer will support customers in the UK and globally, including offshore installations. Responsibilities include plant installation, commissioning, fault finding, pump or cartridge removal, on-site attendance during mobilisations, complete pump dismantling, and detailed strip and inspection reports.

Principle Duties And Responsibilities
  • Investigate and troubleshoot customer premises to quantify operational problems, providing digital photographs and comprehensive reports.
  • Remove or supervise removal of pumping equipment for transfer to Service Centre as required.
  • Install and commission pumping equipment after overhaul or new from factory.
  • Conduct condition monitoring and performance monitoring activities.
  • Dismantle pumping plants, including cartridge removal, and produce detailed strip/inspection reports with dimensional checks and digital photographs.
  • Re‑assemble pumping machinery on-site or in the Service Centre using new spare parts or approved refurbishment techniques.
  • Supervise contractors or client personnel as needed to fulfill the contract scope.
  • Produce daily and end‑of‑project technical reports.
  • Assemble pump and pump set components within Celeros manufacturing plants.
  • Ensure adherence to all Corporate Environmental, Health & Safety guidelines and project requirements.
Knowledge,

Skills And Abilities
  • Fundamental knowledge of pumps and associated equipment.
  • Background in field service or workshop service of rotating equipment.
  • Experience commissioning rotating equipment in the field or in an in‑house test facility.
  • Experience using light workshop machinery such as drills, milling machines, and conventional lathes.
  • Customer‑facing ability to articulate machinery assessments.
  • A “can‑do” approach with strong awareness of what’s needed to make things happen under pressure.
  • Problem‑solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write reports and correspondence and speak effectively before customer groups or organisational employees.
  • Work effectively independently or as part of a team, internally and externally.
  • Identify and produce hazards/risk assessments to a high standard.
  • Prepared to work away from home for several weeks at a time.
  • Understanding and experience of health and safety procedures, including written risk assessments.
  • Good report writing skills and command of the English language, both verbal and written.
Education And Experience
  • Time‑served mechanical apprenticeship is essential.
You Must Have

Valid right to work in the UK and ability to obtain security clearance.

Physical Demands
  • Daily standing, sitting, walking, talking, hearing, and seeing (close vision required for computer work).
  • Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
  • Daily use of hands, fingers, and arms to reach (operate a computer and telephone).
  • Occasional lifting and/or moving light to moderate objects.
  • Occasional travel, usually by air or road, with extended periods of sitting.
Working Conditions
  • Work with moderate office noise (computers, phones, printers).
  • Work in an open office or individual office setting.
  • Sit at a computer terminal for extended periods.
  • Sit in a car or on a plane for extended periods.
