Engineering Manager

We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance function at a large operational depot in Glasgow, overseeing a fleet of approximately 150 operational assets.

This is a senior, site-based leadership role within a safety-critical, high-availability environment, offering full ownership of engineering performance, compliance and team development.

• Lead, develop and motivate a multi-skilled engineering and maintenance team
• Take full responsibility for asset availability, reliability and performance
• Plan and deliver preventative and corrective maintenance programmes
• Ensure compliance with all safety, statutory and internal engineering standards
• Manage budgets, cost control and continuous improvement initiatives
• Drive performance through KPIs, reporting and root-cause analysis
• Work closely with operational and senior stakeholders to support service delivery

• Proven experience in an Engineering Manager, Maintenance Manager or Fleet Engineering role
• Background managing large-scale asset fleets in operational environments (e.g. transport, logistics, utilities, manufacturing or similar)
• Strong people leader with experience in safety-critical operations
• Commercially aware, with experience managing budgets and performance targets
• Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent practical experience

• Salary of £60,000 – £65,000, depending on experience plus additional fantastic benefits including up to 15% bonus
