On offer, is the exciting opportunity for an Environmental Advisor/Consultant/Ecologist to join on of the UK's largest, global defence and engineering powerhouses. In this role, the successful Environmental Advisor/Consultant/Ecologist would be responsible for implementing environmental element to the compliance management system, including, but not limited to, environmental policies, risk assessments, procedures, guidance notes and more, and be able to communicate these effectively to key internal and external stakeholders, parties and other key areas.

Other key areas will be the sustainability strategy, focusing on activities in the workplace, marketplace and overall community. This role will also involve some night working, working away which you will get back in lieu as well as working in a hybrid environment. The ideal Environmental Advisor/Consultant/Ecologist or similar must be local to Glasgow or willing/already relocating to the area and be eager to join a large global engineering and defence business.

The Role:

Provide specialist advice on sustainability and environmental legislative and contractual compliance for the project. Manage the project's Environmental Management Plan, Emergency Response Plan, Environmental Risk Profile and Aspects and Impact register. Develop within the environmental management platform a project specific Environment and Sustainability Threats and Opportunities profile. Implementing and continuous improvement of the compliance management system to the ISO 14001 standard for the site.

The Person :
Local to Glasgow or moving to the area. Happy to work occasional nights/weekend which the time will be given back in the week. Travel to relevant sites as/when required. (travel is covered) .
