Senior Detail Designer

Our client, a leading player in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a Senior Detail Designer to join their team on a contract basis. This role focuses on outfit and structures within the maritime naval ships discipline.

• Developing and detailing design solutions for outfit and structural components of naval ships
• Translating concept designs into detailed technical specifications
• Collaborating with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions
• Producing detailed drawings and schematics in accordance with industry standards and project requirements
• Liaising with manufacturing and production teams to ensure feasibility and compliance of designs
• Providing technical guidance and support to junior designers and engineers
• Ensuring all design work complies with safety and regulatory standards
• Reviewing and updating designs based on project feedback and requirements

• Experience in electronics design engineering, specifically within the defence sector
• Proficiency in CAD software and design tools - you must have experience with Foran for this role
• Strong understanding of outfit and structural design principles for naval ships
• Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and specifications
