A prestigious industrial contractor operating in environment, defense and energy sectors are currently looking for a Civil Works Design Engineer with Waste to Energy plants experience, working on a waste treatment and recovery plant project in Scotland.

Our consulting client and expert services is a major contractor within the construction & engineering industry with over 100 years’ experience, with a current turnover of over £500m.

The candidate will be responsible for the Design Engineer of the project whilst reporting to the Lead Designer.

The successful candidates main Duties and Responsibilities will consist of:

• Use of Solid Works 3D CAD software for computer-aided design
• Use of current cutting tool technology
• Ensure components and assemblies follow applicable industry and business standards
• Construct prototypes and confirm designs with design/purchasing team
• Be involved with estimating and process improvement
• 1 year contract with competitive day rate. Company is also working on other major projects around the U.K. therefore possibility for contract extension.
