Job Title: Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Job Location: Glasgow

Job Type: Permanent

Annual Salary: Up to £50,000 (DoE)

Our client is a trusted, independent M&E consultancy with several decades of experience in building services design. Their focus is on delivering cutting‑edge MEP solutions that drive sustainability. By combining advanced design technologies with proven expertise, they create highly efficient MEP systems that support their clients in reaching operational Net Zero Carbon goals.

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will be involved in every phase of project delivery, from initial feasibility studies to final completion, across a diverse range of sectors such as commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, and mixed‑use.

This role provides the chance to contribute to impactful projects and shape the future of the built environment.

• Leading the design and specification of electrical systems for building services projects.
• Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Taking responsibility for managing budgets and schedules.
• Supporting project delivery from concept through to completion, including site inspections and client meetings.

• Degree in Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• 4+ years of post‑degree experience
• Proven experience in electrical design within the building services sector
• Strong understanding of UK building regulations and CIBSE guidelines
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Excellent written and numerical skills
• A positive "can do" attitude, and the willingness to learn
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards it (CEng, IMechE or equivalent) is desirable.
