Temporary Site Agent – Public Realm / Hard Landscaping

Initial 6-month contract (potential for extension)
Rate: £350 per day

We are seeking a proven Site Agent to deliver high-quality public realm and hard landscaping works across key urban improvement schemes in Glasgow.

Working with a well-established civil engineering contractor, this temporary role will play a pivotal part in managing site operations and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.

Role requirements:

The successful applicant will

Oversee day-to-day delivery of hard landscaping, streetscape, and public realm works.
Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain programme and quality targets.
Ensure works comply with Health & Safety, environmental, and local authority standards.
Support project planning, cost control, and progress reporting.
Liaise closely with engineers, designers, and client representatives to maintain clear communication and proactive issue resolution.

Candidate requirements:

Demonstrable experience as a Site Agent or Site Manager on civil engineering or landscaping projects.
Strong knowledge of highways and public realm construction techniques.
Solid understanding of NEC contract principles and change management.
CSCS and SMSTS certification essential; civil engineering qualification (HNC/HND or similar) desirable.
A hands-on leader who can drive programme delivery while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
