Overview

Mechanical Site Manager - Glasgow

£300 per day | 4-month contract | Immediate start

Involve Recruitment is delighted to be working with a well-established contractor on a multi-million-pound commercial refurbishment project in Glasgow. We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to start Monday 26th January, with the contract running until the end of May. This is a client-facing role on a high-profile commercial refurbishment, including the upgrade of a cinema room. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating site activities, managing resources, and ensuring delivery to the highest standards of safety, quality, and programme.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise on-site construction activities in line with project plans and specifications
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and client teams to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety legislation, maintaining a safe working environment at all times
  • Manage site documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and site records
  • Oversee labour, materials, and equipment to optimise efficiency and productivity
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality standards are met
  • Implement effective time-management strategies to meet deadlines without compromising safety or quality
Requirements & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager (or similar) within mechanical, electrical, and building services environments
  • Experience working on large-scale commercial refurbishment projects
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication skills; confident in a client-facing role
  • Solid knowledge of health & safety regulations within construction
  • Ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple trades effectively
  • SSSTS OR SMSTS
  • First Aid
