We are currently recruiting for an experienced Estimator to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, the role will offer training, mentoring and career development opportunities. This role can be based at either our Glasgow or Almondvale Office; hybrid working is available.
Responsibilities- Prepare, price and submit tenders to a high quality; demonstrate full analytical estimating knowledge and experience in the preparation of contract preliminaries.
- Ideally have experience predominantly within a fitout / housing / general construction environment.
- Work on your own initiative and adapt quickly to a challenging role.
- liaise effectively with clients, consultants, architects, suppliers and sub-contractors to build strong, rewarding ongoing relationships.
- Educated to at least HND level, demonstrating a strong understanding of estimating issues.
- Robust commercial acumen with good negotiation skills.
- Experience in liaising with clients, consultants, architects, suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Proven track record in multiple tender wins; ability to express opinions clearly in writing and verbally.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Dedicated Estimator with a background in achieving multiple tender wins.
- Analytical approach and excellent time management; drive and energy to continually improve business success rate.
