Overview

Location: Glasgow & Central Belt

Emtec Building Services, a nationwide M&E contractor with a strong in-house workforce, is growing its delivery teams to support a pipeline of projects across Scotland. We’re looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join and lead on various projects. This is a hands-on, site-based role where you’ll be trusted to lead, coordinate and deliver with the backing of a supportive, experienced business.

The Role

As an Electrical Supervisor
, you’ll be responsible for the successful day-to-day delivery of electrical works on site, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard.

Key responsibilities
  • Leading the delivery of projects from start through to completion.
  • Supervising and coordinating on-site operatives and subcontractors.
  • Ensuring works are carried out safely, efficiently and in line with programme and budget.
  • Upholding all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality standards at all times.
  • Attending and contributing to client, consultant, and main contractor meetings.
  • Delivering site inductions, toolbox talks and regular quality and safety inspections.
  • Supporting workforce planning and allocation of resources on site.
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients and site teams.
What we’re looking for
  • Proven experience supervising electrical works on construction projects, ideally within an M&E contracting environment.
  • Confident working independently, managing priorities, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Practical problem-solver with sound decision-making ability.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office packages.
  • SSSTS Health & Safety qualification (essential).
  • Current IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
  • Valid SJIB Grading Card.
