Cross Reach Children and Family Services support children and young people who need stability, understanding and skilled care to help them feel safe, included and able to thrive. As a Lead Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high quality, relationship based care within a therapeutic residential environment.
This is a hands on role where strong professional practice, leadership by example and trauma informed care come together to support positive outcomes for children and young people.
What your role will involve
Acting as a key worker for individual children and young people Leading assessments and care planning in line with GIRFEC Supporting the safety, wellbeing and development of children and young people across daily life Role modelling therapeutic, attachment informed practice using PACE Leading individual and group work to meet identified needs Working collaboratively with families, schools and multi agency partners Supporting children and young people to engage in learning, activities and community life Maintaining high quality records, reports and care documentation Contributing to a stable, nurturing and structured residential environment Working flexibly across a rota, including evenings, weekends and sleepovers
About you
You will be an experienced practitioner with a strong background in children's care, education or residential services, confident in leading care planning and supporting colleagues through your practice. You will have a sound understanding of GIRFEC and attachment informed approaches, strong communication and recording skills, and a commitment to inclusive, respectful care. You will hold, or be working towards, an HNC in Social Care and an SVQ Level 3, be registered with or eligible to register with the SSSC, and hold a full UK driving licence.
