100% remote UK based Business Development role for an experienced sales person to join a thriving corporate finance business. This is one of the most successful tech investment companies in the world and they are expanding rapidly. The company is so well respected that it “sells itself,” making the role easier when interacting with senior executives, founders and business owners. This consultative sales role will NOT suit anyone looking for a fast sales cycle, as you will work within Mergers and Acquisitions alongside entrepreneurs and business leaders.

Full training and a mentor/coaching programme will be provided.

Title: REMOTE M&A Business Development Executive (finance/banking)

Location: Anywhere in UK (must be UK based)

Salary: £40,000 + OTE

Warm leads will be provided, and your client outreach will be automated to allow you to focus on personality‑driven business development and relationship building.

Some travel will be required.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a complex, structured business development process and generate new M&A opportunities across the UK and Europe.
  • Conduct industry and competitive research to identify software businesses that meet clear investment criteria.
  • Engage with warm leads and with business owners, entrepreneurs, CEOs, shareholders, and senior executives.
  • Explain potential acquisition opportunities and guide owners through the company sales process.
  • Develop and grow a deal pipeline through outbound sales efforts.
  • Attend trade shows, broker road shows, and other events as required.
  • Develop a deal funnel and use the Salesforce database.
  • Achieve agreed targets of 15‑20 appointments per quarter (commissions based on NDAs signed).
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of sales or business development experience, including cold calling.
  • Degree‑educated.
  • Fluent English (other languages are an asset).
  • Interest in finance, banking or software.
  • Willingness to work 100% remotely.
