Commencing on 23 July 2026, Glasgow will transform into a global hub for sport and culture, welcoming 3,000 athletes from 74 nations, across 11 days of unforgettable action, fuelled by the city’s unstoppable energy and passion.
Glasgow 2026 is set to revolutionise the Games, with a bold, ‘Clyde Built’ experience that reflects the city’s resilience and innovation. This is more than just an event; it’s a movement – a celebration of unity, equality, and sporting excellence. A movement that will not only deliver a world‑class sporting experience but will also create a lasting legacy, maximising social and economic benefits for the city and the Commonwealth.

We will be recruiting approximately 50 Manager and Deputy Manager Games‑time roles from June / July across multiple functional areas:
- Catering, Cleaning & Recycling
- Logistics
- Spectator Services

Functional Area

Experience
- Capability in managing or supporting operational planning, readiness, and delivery phases for major events.
- Experience collaborating with operational functions, venue management, emergency services, and regulatory bodies.
- Understanding of multi‑stakeholder environments, ideally including venue operators, and external contractors.
- Experience managing real‑time issues, incidents, and escalations, ideally during live events.
Competencies
- Strong organisational, planning, and coordination skills.
- Relationship‑builder with a collaborative working style, effective across teams, venues, and stakeholder groups to ensure coordinated delivery.
- Proactive mindset, able to apply initiative, prioritise tasks, resolve and escalations, ideally during live events.
- Comfortable working in high‑pressure, time‑sensitive operational environments.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and support teams including paid staff and volunteers.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills with the ability to brief, report and engage confidently across stakeholder groups.
