CNX are delighted to be partnering with a forward‑thinking and fast‑growing organisation within the construction, landscaping, and restoration sectors, to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager.
This is a pivotal role for a commercially driven individual who thrives on growth, relationship‑building, and delivering results across both public and private sector markets.
The RoleAs Business Development Manager, you will play a central role in driving the Group s growth strategy. This is a hybrid hunter/farmer position, combining new business generation with the development of existing partnerships.
You will operate in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment, acting as a key link between external clients and internal operational, finance, and marketing teams to convert opportunities into long‑term success.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Growth: Identify and develop new markets, customer segments, and revenue opportunities within construction, landscaping, and restoration.
Lead Generation: Proactively generate leads through outbound activity, networking, industry events, and strategic partnerships.
Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long‑term relationships with procurement contacts, stakeholders, and partners.
Pipeline Management: Coordinate information flow between clients and internal teams to support compelling proposals and presentations.
Market Intelligence: Conduct research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive advantages.
Reporting: Deliver accurate performance reporting and revenue forecasts to senior leadership.
We are seeking a candidate who understands the construction sector and has the credibility and network to make an immediate impact.
Essential Skills & Experience3 5 years experience in Business Development or Sales within the construction industry (public and private sectors).
An established industry network (highly desirable).
Strong commercial acumen, including proposal preparation and contract negotiation.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
Bachelor s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline (preferred).
