Salary: £100,000 – £110,000 + Comprehensive Benefits.

• Oversee business development efforts across key defence, engineering and technology sectors, aligning with strategic objectives.
• Build and manage long‑term client relationships, becoming a trusted adviser and first point of contact.
• Accountable for identifying and mitigating commercial risks.
• Identify and qualify new business opportunities.
• Provide accurate forecasting and reporting of pipeline, performance and market intelligence to senior leadership.
• Line manager for a group of Business Managers, providing functional leadership, coaching and mentoring.

• Proven experience enhancing business development and boosting sales, ideally in the UK’s Defence Nuclear Enterprise but applicable to wider defence, engineering or technology sectors.
• Ability to engage with technical teams and translate complex offerings into compelling business value.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Organised professional with a strategic mindset and a results‑driven attitude.

• Background in consulting would be advantageous.
• Existing network within defence primes, government agencies or related industries.
• Experience with framework agreements and public sector bids.
• Degree in business, engineering or a related field.
