Legal Assistant

Location:

Glasgow City Centre
Salary: £25,000

Hours:

Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (Office-Based)

Anderson Knight is recruiting for a Legal Assistant on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation in Glasgow. This role sits within a busy consumer lending / remortgage team and involves supporting the smooth progression of customer files from start to finish.

Candidates with strong customer service and administrative experience are encouraged to apply, legal experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Open and set up new remortgage files on internal systems.
  • Liaise with customers, lenders, and external partners to request and gather documents.
  • Upload, verify, and manage information such as redemption statements and title documents.
  • Maintain accurate records and key data within the case management system.
  • Monitor shared inboxes, responding to or allocating emails as required.
  • Support the team with routine calls, chasing documentation, and general admin tasks.
  • Handle customer information in line with compliance and data security requirements.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous customer service and administrative experience (office-based experience desirable).
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence working with data and documents.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and email management.
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional approach.
  • Ability to prioritise work and stay organised in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Preferred (but not essential)
  • Experience in legal, mortgage, property, lending, or financial services.
  • Familiarity with remortgage processes or case management systems.
