Lusona Consultancy is delighted to be partnering with a global service sector organisation to recruit a Group Accountant for their Glasgow finance function. This is a key role within the team, supporting the delivery of high-quality reporting, consolidation, and statutory accounts. This opportunity would suit a technically strong qualified accountant who enjoys collaborating across the business and contributing to continuous improvement within financial reporting processes.

• Preparing of monthly reporting in line with group timelines and governance requirements
• Supporting year-end reporting packs and group consolidation processes
• Preparing UK subsidiary statutory accounts, including consolidated entities
• Ensuring compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP, company law, and internal financial governance frameworks
• Maintaining a strong internal control environment and up-to-date documentation
• Working closely with finance teams across the group to deliver accurate and timely reporting
• Monitoring developments in accounting standards and assessing their impact on group reporting
• Supporting audit processes and liaising with external auditors
• Identifying and driving process improvements and efficiencies within reporting cycles

• Fully qualified accountant (ICAS / ICAEW / ACCA / CIMA) from Accountancy Practice or wider industry
• Experience preparing statutory accounts under IFRS and UK GAAP
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with the ability to interpret complex issues clearly
• Comfortable working to tight deadlines within a group reporting environment
• Confident communicator, able to challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels
• Proactive, organised, and delivery-focused
