We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Specialist to join our Data Management team for a fixed‑term contract
. This role is ideal for a junior profile or recent graduate with strong fundamentals in SQL and a keen interest in data extraction and manipulation
. You will contribute to delivering reliable data to support business operations and reporting. We are looking for someone curious, fast‑learning, and motivated to discover the world of finance
.
- Write and maintain SQL queries with a strong focus on data extraction and data preparation.
- Extract data from various systems and ensure accuracy and consistency of delivered datasets.
- Support business teams by providing reliable and timely data extracts.
- Assist in basic data transformations and contribute to data pipelines (ETL).
- Contribute to the creation and automation of data extracts through reports and dashboards (e.g., SSRS, Tableau).
- Support the development and maintenance of reporting solutions used for recurring data delivery.
- Participate in the integration of external data sources (files, APIs, third‑party providers).
- Assist in ingesting and validating external datasets into internal systems.
- Ensure data consistency, format alignment, and quality checks on incoming data.
- Help document external data flows and integration processes.
- Perform data quality checks and investigate discrepancies.
- Document queries, datasets, and data flows in a clear and structured way.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to understand data needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data analytics, or a related field.
- Good SQL skills (mandatory) – ability to query, join, filter, and aggregate data.
- Basic understanding of data concepts (tables, joins, data quality, etc.).
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to learn quickly and be autonomous.
- Strong motivation to learn and grow in a financial environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
- Exposure to Snowflake.
- Exposure to DBT.
- Exposure to Tableau or similar tools.
- Basic Python or scripting knowledge.
