Job Summary

Our associates at Red, White, and Blue Thrift perform a range of tasks and processes essential to our retail operations. These positions require attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The roles are full-time, and medical benefits become available after 90 days of employment. Brief descriptions of our positions can be found below.

Our Facilities Associates may be assigned to the following tasks:

• Unloading and loading trailers
• Operating a trash compactor
• Operating a baling machine
• Janitorial duties
• Labor-intensive work

Our Production Associates may be assigned to the following tasks:

• Pre-sorting donations
• Sorting, pricing, hanging, tagging
• Attaching sensors
• Distributing merchandise to the floor

Our Sales Floor Associates may be assigned to the following roles:

• Cashier
• Sales Floor
• Donation Center Attendant

Other available positions include:

• Box Truck Driver
• Dispatcher
• Supervisor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous thrift, retail, warehouse, back of house, or customer facing experience is preferred, but not required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely perform job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA, and other standards, including meeting productivity requirements
• Physical Strength: occasionally lift and carry up to 40-70 lbs, frequently exert up to 25 lbs
• Endurance: stand for extended periods
• Manual Dexterity: perform repetitive motions and work primarily with fingers

• Balance and Agility: maintain balance on varied surfaces and during agile tasks
• Visual Acuity: clear vision at close and distance ranges

• Lighting: bright lighting throughout store areas
• Interactions with Others: effective communication with customers, donors, and coworkers
• Flexibility: ability to switch tasks or departments as needed

Language Requirements

• Employees are not required to communicate exclusively in English, but a fundamental understanding of written and spoken English may be necessary for instruction and interactions
