Overview

Oakhill Day School is seeking substitute teachers to support our Early Childhood (Pretoddler – Prekindergarten) and Kindergarten through 8th Grade programs in the event of teacher absences.

The ideal candidate will challenge and engage students of diverse abilities and learning styles while working collaboratively with members of the Oakhill faculty. Substitute teachers may work with students ranging from 18 months through eighth grade and should be comfortable adapting to a variety of classroom environments and age levels.

Responsibilities
  • Implement lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher
  • Support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth
  • Collaborate with faculty and administration as needed
  • Uphold school policies and procedures
  • Contribute positively to the life of the school community
Professional Qualifications
  • Associates Degree (required), Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) in Education or Related Field
  • Experience working with children in Early Childhood and/or K–8 settings
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Flexibility and professionalism
Compensation

Oakhill offers a competitive per diem pay rate of $20/hour - $180/Day. This is a per diem position and is not eligible for benefits.
