Who can apply

To be eligible, you must be:
• Registered as a full time or part-time secondary or post-secondary student in an accredited academic program; or
• Participating in adult education and retraining programs at the secondary level, operated under the authority of an accredited academic institution, and
• Meet the minimum age requirement to work in the province or territory where the job is located as well as to any specific age student program requirements.
Willing and able to work: irregular hours, overtime, weekends and/or on statutory holidays, when required. Must be willing to wear a Parks Canada uniform when required. Be exposed to variable weather conditions. Willing and able to operate and maintain an electric mower and snipper. PPE will be provided.

Experience in paid or volunteer work that entailed direct contact and communication with the public.
Ability to deliver messages/information to groups in face-to-face situations with the purpose of education, engagement, entertainment and/or motivation. Ability to anticipate/meet public needs, resolve complaints, anticipate/detect incidents and find solutions Ability to communicate orally in a volume and manner that suggests interest and engagement
