Summary:

Responsible for performing preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance to equipment, machines, and all associated support equipment at the yard location. This position will work closely with operations, maintenance, environmental, or some combination of all.

Essential Job Functions:

• Able to troubleshoot and repair the following: electrical systems, hydraulic systems, various cylinders, valves, accumulators, and pumps.
• Install, dismantle, maintain, repair, reassemble, and move machinery.
• Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances
• Align and test equipment, and make any necessary adjustments.
• Perform predictive and operational procedures.
• Repair or replace defective parts.
• Must be willing and able to work with heavy equipment when needed.
• Learn and work in accordance with company procedures and policies, as well as safety and environmental rules and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7-10 years maintenance experience, preferred.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair the following: electrical systems, hydraulic systems, various cylinders, valves, accumulators, and pumps.
• Able to work in a drug-free workplace.
• Knowledgeable in basic hand tools and proper use.
• Knowledgeable of the proper inspection, removal, installation, and alignment, and lubrication of bearings, gears, belts, conveyors, and chains.
• Must possess basic welding and burning skills.
• Strong analytical skills and theoretical background in mechanical systems.
• Industrial mill, shredder, or mining experience required.
• Must be comfortable working at heights.
• Perform assignments in a timely manner.
• Work autonomously or act as an effective team member, exhibiting good interpersonal skills.
• Able to communicate effectively to team members as well as non-maintenance personnel.
• Excellent written, organization, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Some computer skills are required.

Work Hours:

• Typically Monday through Friday with a 40-50 hour work week.
• Overtime and weekends will be scheduled as required.
