Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) for a 13-week contract assignment. The SLP will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders. This role requires strong clinical skills, compassion, and the ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for residents.
• Provide therapy for speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive impairments.
• Document assessments, progress notes, and care plans accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, rehabilitation team members, and physicians to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and strategies.
• Participate in team meetings, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary discussions.
Qualifications
• Active and current state SLP license (must be in good standing).
•
Minimum experience:
Less than 1 year required (newer clinicians encouraged to apply).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a Skilled Nursing Facility environment.
