Required April 2026, Gillingham School in Dorset is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified Teacher of Science to join a large department in a modern 13 laboratory Science block which offers exceptional facilities.
This is an opportunity for an ambitious candidate to play their part in the continued success of this thriving and dynamic department in a vibrant and supportive school.
All three sciences are popular and successful at A-Level and opportunities are available for a suitably qualified candidate to teach at this level. The post is ideally suited for either an early career teacher or for a teacher with experience looking for a fresh challenge.

Keeping Children Safe in Education
Gillingham VC school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
