Overview
Greet customers on the sales floor, direct them to product or to a parts specialist, and assist with checkout while deterring shoplifters. Maintain a well-stocked front area and prepare merchandise according to planograms or displays.
Responsibilities- Merchandiser:
Greet customers on the sales floor, assist them in locating merchandise or direct them to the parts specialist if hard parts are needed. - Check in, price, and stock merchandise; keep display floor fronted, full, and clean daily.
- Implement display changes according to company guidelines and planograms; perform all out-front price changes.
- Ensure sale signs are in place, maintain sale merchandise on display, and stock the sale flyer rack.
- Remove sale material when the sale ends and restore original pricing.
- Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
- Work with the manager to complete the store To Do List and Team Weekly tasks.
- Act as the main shoplifting deterrent and front floor security.
- Assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
- Clock in/out according to company policy.
- Cashier:
Check out customers purchasing front floor merchandise in a quick and friendly manner. - Handle merchandise returns from customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
- If express lane is not in use and the counter is busy, assist by completing tickets and processing payments (cash, checks, credit cards, etc.).
- Required:
Good aptitude for dealing with numbers, strong interpersonal communication, and good organizational skills. - Desired:
Previous cashier and/or stocking experience; ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle; multilingual ability (Spanish highly desired).
