Position Overview – ICU/Telemetry RN Patient Population & Unit Details All age groups (primarily adults; occasional pediatric support) 11-bed ICU/Tele unit Care includes ventilated patients, post–cardiac cath, IABP, sepsis, COPD, post-op surgical, trauma, limited neuro, and DKA patients Equipment & Charting Meditech EMR Bedside medication verification Ventilators, BiPAP, Swan-Ganz, Philips monitors IV pumps, transvenous pacers Required Experience & Skills Minimum 1 year ICU experience Telemetry experience with ability to read EKGs (required) Experience with ventilated patients and conditions listed above Occasional pediatric exposure (e.g., RSV, DKA) Licensure & Certifications WY or Compact RN License BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA) PALS or ENPC (required for emergency support only;
not primary pediatric assignment) Schedule & Staffing 12-hour shifts (flexible: days, nights, or rotating) No regular call; may be asked occasionally Nurse-to-patient ratio: 2–3 patients per RN Support staff: CPS, Lab, Radiology, 24/7 Hospitalists, eICU support Orientation 3 shifts of unit-based orientation with ICU RN No classroom orientation Dress Code Navy scrubs Additional Notes Day/night rotating candidates considered L&D experience preferred but not required (may float when needed)
