The General Manager is a managerial position with production responsibilities and in control of the day to day activities across the site. General Manager will manage all aspects of Xscindo’s facility in Gillette, WY, including managing a team of operators. General Manager must be fully capable of running our production process, including pre‑ and post‑production tasks. From time to time, site supervisor will interact with customers and vendors, pick up new batches of feedstock, and arrange for shipping of recycled metals to our refining partners.

The role requires somebody with an engineering background alongside relevant qualifications and experience.

• Operate our production process, including pre‑ and post‑production processes
• Carry out routine operator checks / maintenance tasks
• Ensure adequate resources are made available to maintain production requirements
• Manage team disciplinary issues with regard to timekeeping, absenteeism and health and safety
• Production control and record keeping of production logs
• Conduct regular formal communication sessions in controlling production and process performance
• Review and set KPIs
• Ensure that staff comply with QSHE control measures documented in Work Instructions & Procedures
• Ensuring that staff receive adequate PPE and RPE and that it is worn and used correctly
• Liaising with maintenance/engineering staff so that all safety devices are correctly fitted, and equipment is properly maintained
• Assisting on any QSHE concerns from employees and co‑operating and consulting with appropriate staff on any remedial action
• Ensuring good housekeeping and that fire exit routes are kept clear.
• Basic consumable stock control
• Ensure staff in their area comply with QSHE control measures documented in Work Instructions & Procedures
• Development and upkeep of SSOW (safe systems of work) and RA (Risk Assessments)
• Development and upkeep of training matrix, identifying and implementing any training requirements for the team
• Hold the Environmental Permit and related documents for the site and check compliance against their requirements
• Ensure staff in their area comply with QSHE control measures documented in Work Instructions & Procedures
• Provide weekly reports on plant production, SHE and anything else relevant
• Review Employees Sign In / Out Log and authorise weekly timesheets
  
  Ensure contractors/visitors complete the Sign In/Out procedure and comply with QSHE policies.
• Complete near miss/incident report and report any incidents to management.
• Dealing with out of hours calls i.e. complaints, incidents, deliveries etc.
• Drive truck and load feedstock from customer sites; may require an overnight stay
• Oversee the loading / unloading of vehicles on site
• Packing and shipping containers of processed metals to our refining partners

Up to $125,000 dependant on knowledge and experience. Competitive company benefit package.
