Summary/ObjectiveThe Program Manager of Corrections assists the Senior Director of Booth Hall in leading the correctional programs and ensuring the program(s) comply with all Volunteers of America, Bureau of Prison (BOP), and Wyoming Department of Corrections (DOC) policies and procedures daily.
Essential Functions- Ensures the program complies with all VOA, Bureau of Prison and Wyoming Department of Corrections Policies and Procedures daily.
- Develops and monitors the schedule for the security technician staff.
- Provides direct supervision to lead security technician and front-line staff.
- Assists in the recruitment and hiring of security technician staff.
- Assists in the preparation of annual budgets for areas of responsibility.
- Ensures that the facility complies with fire, safety, and health department standards always.
- Processes and submits payroll for front line staff.
- Coordinate transportation for new DOC/BOP residents.
- Monitor all written mail correspondence for the residents.
- Regularly communicates with Senior Director of Booth Hall, Probation and Parole staff, WDOC staff, and Bureau of Prisons.
- Assist the director with facets of human resource management, including disciplinary action.
- Assists with resident issues as needed.
- Prepare and deliver all employment and staff training.
- Ensures ongoing compliance with VOA policies and procedures, resident handbook, and sponsoring agency requirements.
- Represent the organization daily.
- Routinely prepares correspondence, reports, and other documents for staff and administration as requested.
- Attends meetings and training as needed.
- Monitor all UAs, dorm searches, car searches, property matrixes, and resident property.

This position provides direct supervision to lead re-entry mentors and front‑line staff.
Work EnvironmentThis job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stoop as necessary.
PositionType/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Required Education, Experience Or Eligibility Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Behavioral Science or related field
- One (1) year of management and/or supervisory experience.
- Four to six (4‑6) years of progressive related human services work experience and
- At least one (1) year of supervisory experience
- Knowledge of adult corrections facilities/procedures.
- Five (5) years of management and/or supervisory experience
