Team Gilbert has an exciting opportunity for Head Swim/Dive Coach for the upcoming season! We hire innovative, forward‑thinking problem‑solvers who love what they do.
Minimum Qualifications- Knowledge of swimming pool health regulations, laws, and ordinances governing public swimming pool operation
- Good physical condition and stamina required
- Star Guard ELITE Lifeguard Training Certificate (or equivalent) and Water Safety Instructor Certificate or Starfish/Ellis (Instructors/Coaches)
- Must be able to work consistently from mid‑May through early August with minimal time off.
- Personal cell phone is preferred to clock in and out of shifts
$25.76 per hour; 35–40 hours per week.
Responsibilities- Oversee swim and dive team practices,, and team operations.
- Assist pool manager and assistant manager with facility operations, programs, and trainings.
- Maintain a safe and fun learning environment for participants.
- Provide safety and coach or teach aquatic skills and activities.
- Resolve conflicts, adapt to participants' needs/behaviors, respond to emergency situations, and enforce policies and procedures.
- Provide a copy of certifications or proof of current class enrollment (for Lifeguard and Swim Instructor candidates).
