Retail Service Specialist – O'Reilly Auto Parts
Location:
Gilbert, AZ
- Support Store Manager & Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations.
- Assume shift management duties in their absence.
- Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise customer service levels in the showroom, including execution of programs such as Related Sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot.
- Ensure telephone is answered per company policy.
- Process buy online/ship to store, hub‑transfer, store‑to‑store, and DC add orders timely and notify customers on shipments.
- Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently, using electronic order ledger.
- Process returns and exchanges accurately, refund with correct payment, and stage returned merchandise.
- Invoice all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before leaving store.
- Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker/merchandising tasks.
- Enforce posted work schedule, approve changes, ensure clock‑in/out per policy.
- Perform store opening/closing duties, including day‑end procedures, money/deposit verification, bank deposits, security lights, locks, alarms, and vehicle security.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Required – Strong communication skills;
Ability to obtain RSS Certification. - Desired – Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts;
Automotive systems and repair knowledge; ASE Certification;
Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
