ALL ABOUT STYLE A team of consultants who meet guests where they are and deliver through strong operations, guest experience, and visual merchandising presentations that inspire purchases. A Style Consultant is passionate about strong operations and providing an incredible guest experience, bringing the energy of style to life with in-store presentations and easy self-discovery. Style Consultants are welcoming and helpful on the sales floor and in the fitting room, ensuring the floor is set with the right product, prices, and size/color availability.

At Target we believe in meaningful experiences that help team members build and develop skills for a career. The role provides the skills and experiences of:

• Guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store
• Retail business fundamentals including department sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing and promotions strategies, and basic visual merchandising
• Industry trends including style, seasonality, and brand differentiation
• Set, fill, and price the floor according to guest priorities

As a Style Consultant
, no two days are the same. A typical day will likely include the following responsibilities:

• Drive sales and deliver a guest-ready floor by executing visual standards, promotional signing, and knowledge of assortment and brand offerings to assist guests
• Use store tools to understand sales, inventory ownership, and guest needs
• Sort freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom as needed
• Set visual presentations and merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales
• Maintain product availability on the floor through priority and manual fills
• Maintain backroom organization to support replenishment and guest requests
• Remerchandise presentations as items sell through to deliver an inspiring shopping experience
• Support price changes and clearance merchandising practices with signing
• Maintain and use fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and help guests
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by moving merchandise from fitting room and guest service back to the floor
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
• Work safely; comply with safety policies and training; report hazards
• Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pickup (OPU), Drive-up (DU) and comply with applicable laws
• Greet guests and assist with their needs; thank guests for shopping at Target
• All other duties based on business needs

• You are open to a flexible schedule (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times)

The Good News Training is provided to help you learn everything you need to know to be a Style Consultant. Some basic skills to start with include:

• Strong interest in apparel products and accessories
• Welcoming attitude toward guests and team members
• Ability to communicate on multiple devices and operate handheld scanners and technology tools
• Effective communication, ability to work independently and with a team
• Resolve guest questions quickly; stay focused in a fast-paced environment

Basic expectations include:

• Handle cash register operations as needed
• Climb ladders; move merchandise safely (up to 15 pounds routinely, up to 44 pounds occasionally)
• Flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance
• Work in varying temperatures and conditions; remain mobile during shifts
