Director of Nursing, Healthcare Nursing
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Director of Nursing, you will contribute by strategically planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining patient care programs, policies, and management systems across assigned departments and campus. Every day you will lead the integration of services to ensure patient-centered care, drive quality and cost-effective improvements, and serve as a role model for ethical management. You will maintain direct operational and matrix management responsibility for all nursing care areas on your assigned campus, actively building strong relationships with physicians, employees, and community stakeholders.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional leadership in patient care administration, collaborating effectively with medical staff and ancillary services. You will embody ethical principles, foster patient experience, and enhance staff engagement, ultimately achieving the objectives of campus operations and contributing to the division's CNO strategy.
- Responsible for the overall quality of care provided by the nursing personnel. Advises medical staff, department heads, and administrators in matters related to nursing service and strategies.
- Interprets policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups.
- Monitors the operations of the nursing staff and ensures compliance with regulations on organizational and governmental standards and practices. Schedules staff and conducts employee performance reviews.
- Provides nursing care to patients on an as needed basis.
- This Director position is over the Medical Surgical Service Lines.

Job RequirementsMinimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) or equivalent education and experience.
- Master's Degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g. MSN/MBA/MHA).
- Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience and two (2) years of leadership experience.
- Registered Nursing License (RN) in state of practice.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), other credentials or modules may be required.

$63.10 - $93.87 /hour
