Overview

The Registered Nurse will work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care in a compassionate and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will have clinical experience in women s health or obstetrics, gynecology and a commitment to providing exceptional care to women throughout all stages of life.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients  health status, including medical history, vital signs, and physical examinations. Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patients  needs, preferences, and treatment goals.
  • Clinical Procedures and Treatments: Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with clinical procedures, examinations, and treatments related to obstetrics, gynecology, and women s health. Administer medications, injections, and immunizations as ordered by healthcare providers.
  • Patient Education and Counseling: Provide patient education and counseling on topics such as prenatal care, family planning, contraception, menopause, and women s health maintenance. Offer guidance and support to patients and their families regarding healthcare decisions and treatment options.
  • Documentation and Charting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including nursing assessments, care plans, progress notes, and documentation of patient education and counseling. Ensure compliance with documentation standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Patient Advocacy and Support: Advocate for patients  rights, preferences, and needs within the healthcare system, ensuring respectful and patient-centered care. Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families facing challenging healthcare situations.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including physicians, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and support staff. Communicate relevant patient information, care plans, and treatment outcomes to healthcare team members in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Nursing (BSN) required;
    Master s degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of clinical experience in obstetrics, gynecology, or women s health nursing.
  • Certification in obstetric or gynecologic nursing (e.g., RNC-OB, WHNP-BC) preferred.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required; NRP certification preferred for labor and delivery nursing.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to make independent nursing judgments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care and promoting women s health and wellness.
