Swiss CNC Machinist
Pay: $19–$32 per hour
Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift
A well-established, mid-sized precision machining company serving the aerospace, medical device, defense, and energy industries is seeking an experienced Swiss CNC Machinist to join its growing team.
This organization specializes in tight-tolerance components and short lead-time production within a high-performance, multi-axis machining environment. The facility is located in the greater Southeast Valley area of Arizona.
Position SummaryThe Swiss CNC Machinist is responsible for the setup and operation of Swiss screw machines to produce tight-tolerance components from a variety of metals including copper, titanium, Inconel, and stainless steel.
This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain high quality standards in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform complete machine setup, operation, and first article inspections on Swiss and multi-axis lathes, including:
- Tornos Deco
- Citizen
- Tsugami
- Adjust machine speeds, tooling, and cutting methods to maintain part accuracy and precision
- Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and quality issues
- Inspect parts using microscopes, micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, and other inspection equipment
- Maintain production schedules and meet customer delivery requirements
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and documentation procedures
- Communicate production or procedural concerns to supervision
- Assist with training other machinists as needed
- Verify accuracy and completeness of required paperwork
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a CNC machining environment
- Experience operating and setting up Swiss machines preferred
- Strong understanding of tight-tolerance machining
- Ability to read blueprints and perform shop math
- Proficient in the use of precision measuring and inspection tools
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Good communication and teamwork skills
