Regional Pre-Job Planning Manager, Southwest

The Pre‑Job Planning Manager leads the pre‑job planning process regionally, working closely with Area Superintendents, Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, VDC teams, Prefabrication departments, and purchasing. The role ensures projects meet company planning goals and maintain consistent installation standards.

• Execute pre‑job planning consistently across projects.
• Capture 100% of project scope.
• Maintain continuous feedback loop using previous estimates and completed projects.
• Align processes, systems, and teams with company standards.
• Assure field installation standards.
• Manage VDC and Total Station teams for timely, accurate models and field layouts.
• Manage Prefab team for high‑quality prefabrication improving project performance.
• Oversee Purchasing process for complete buyouts.

• Four years or more of electrical field experience.
• Four years or more of management experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction processes and industry regulations.
• Sound business judgment, strong decision‑making, superior verbal communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Effective negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships across teams.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with a track record of building high‑performing teams.
• Superior organization skills, multitasking, scheduling, and deadline follow‑up.
• Entrepreneurial approach to problem solving.
• Execution‑driven mindset and “get the job done” attitude.
• Technology and computer proficiency.
• Experience utilizing BIM/VDC and prefabrication.
• Project management experience is a plus.

• Layout/Control Takeoff Metrics.
• Pre‑Job Planning Meeting Metrics.
• Quarterly and Annual Reviews.

• Regional office with fabrication shop and project site walks as required.
• Work hours:
  
  7 AM‑5 PM Monday‑Thursday, 7 AM‑3 PM Friday; flexible hours may be required.
• Additional time may be required outside normal hours and for weekend events.
