Water Meter Supervisor

• Developing, reviewing, monitoring, and administering the operations and maintenance budget for the water meter section.
• Participate in long‑range and strategic planning of Gilbert Water Distribution infrastructure, as well as preparing requests for estimates, bids, and other documentation for maintenance projects and CIP projects regarding the water distribution infrastructure.
• Supervising, planning, and coordinating activities of field operations through subordinate staff for more than 238,000 customers.

This position is an At‑Will position and is FLSA Exempt – ineligible for overtime compensation.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of specialized or technical training beyond high school.
• 5 years of experience in the construction, maintenance, and repair of underground water systems.
• 2 years of lead or supervisory experience.
• 2 years of AMI/AMR experience desired.

• Grade IV Water Distribution Operator Certification from ADEQ at time of hire or promotion (equivalent certification from another state through reciprocity with Arizona at application submission date, and certification of reciprocity must be obtained within 3 months of hire).
• Arizona Class D Driver's License.

This position has been designated as a Heavy work position that spends a majority of its workday in an office environment.  to learn more about the different physical exertion levels as defined by the Social Security Administration.
