The Psycho-Oncology Section within the Division of Onco-Medicine at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center is experiencing continued expansion. In support of this growth, we are seeking a qualified Psycho-Oncology Health Psychologist to deliver inpatient and outpatient services at our facilities in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
This position presents an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated Psycho-Oncology Health Psychologist to collaborate with our esteemed team of oncologists in providing comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care.
The selected candidate will evaluate and address the psychological, social, behavioral, cognitive, and ethical dimensions of cancer. Responsibilities include delivering compassionate, evidence-based, and multidisciplinary support to patients and caregivers throughout all phases of the disease, while considering factors that impact disease progression.
The Psycho-Oncologist is expected to serve as an integral member of the Division, contributing to clinical, research, and educational initiatives offered by Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center at our Phoenix metropolitan campuses.
Responsibilities- Deliver inpatient and outpatient psycho-oncology services to patients and caregivers at Banner MD Anderson facilities in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
- Collaborate with oncologists and multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care.
- Evaluate and address psychological, social, behavioral, cognitive, and ethical dimensions of cancer and tailor care across all disease phases.
- Contribute to clinical, research, and educational initiatives offered by Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center at Phoenix campuses.
- Doctorate (PsyD or PhD) in clinical psychology from an accredited institution, with licensure as a clinical psychologist.
- Required experience in psycho-oncology.
- Preferred:
Post-doctoral fellowship in health psychology or psycho-oncology. - Active Arizona psychology license.
- Fluency in Spanish is highly desirable.
- Credentialed by the National Register of Health Service Psychologists.
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- No on-call duties or weekend requirements.
