Women’s Care, a leading women’s healthcare group founded in 1998 with over 100 locations and 400+ OB/GYNs, is seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant in Gilbert, AZ.

Overview

Women’s Care provides comprehensive patient care in obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, gynecologic pathology, breast surgery, genetic counseling, maternal fetal medicine, laboratory services, and fertility.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for examination and assist providers during treatment, procedures, examinations, and testing.
  • Prepare, restock, and sterilize exam rooms, procedure rooms, lab area and other patient care areas per established policies.
  • Record patients' medical histories, health maintenance, and chief complaints.
  • Measure, record, and document vital signs.
  • Perform phlebotomy, injections, and other specimen collection per policies directed by provider (when applicable).
  • Educate patients by providing information and instructions as directed by provider.
  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Sterilize medical instruments per established standards and procedures.
  • Relay messages from patients and front office staff to providers.
  • Represent the office in a professional manner; treat all customers, internal and external, courteously.
  • Participate in team activities and professional development activities.
  • Attend required meetings.
  • Demonstrate and embody Women’s Care mission and core values.
  • Comply with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • (FL Only) Certified Medical Assistant preferred or ability to obtain within first 120 days of employment. To be eligible to obtain MA certification you must be a graduate of a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program OR have served in the Armed Forces as a Medical Technician with honorable discharge OR obtain a letter of attestation from a currently licensed physician stating that you worked as a Medical Assistant for at least one year within the last three years.
  • Current CPR and/or BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment via Women’s Care training.
  • Experience working in OBGYN or Primary Care a plus.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Ability to perform phlebotomy and administer injections, if applicable.
  • Ability to perform dosage calculations and measurement conversions.
  • Ability to interact and communicate professionally and effectively with internal personnel, providers, outside organizations, patients and families – both written and verbally.
  • Good organizational skills, ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, and work effectively with all levels of groups.
  • Ability to use computer and enter data in electronic medical records application, preferably eCW.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Dependable, reliable, and punctual.
