Senior Staff Accountant

Consilium School Finance Group provides financial advisory services, as well as a full complement of back office services to non-profit public charter schools in Arizona and other states. This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Staff Accountant located in Gilbert, AZ. Responsibilities include managing and preparing financial reports, supporting audits, reconciling accounts, processing monthly journal entries, and managing bookeeping staff. The Senior Staff Accountant will ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies, provide financial analysis for decision-making, and assist in developing and improving internal processes related to accounting operations.

• Strong knowledge and experience in Financial Reporting, General Accounting Principles, and Budget Management
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Journal Entry Processing, and presentation of Financial Reports
• Analytical and detail-oriented with Financial Analysis and Audit Preparation experience
• Familiarity with Quick Books Online Advanced Accounting Software and tools for efficient financial operations
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• CPA or progress toward CPA certification is preferred but not required
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree is a plus
