Senior Level Electrical Solar Designer / Engineer

The role involves designing and producing photovoltaic system construction documents for large commercial solar power plants (10 MW+). The position requires onsite work gathering information, attending meetings, and performing inspections on construction sites.

• A working knowledge of the National Electric Code
• AutoCAD design/input skills
• Familiarity with PV System Utility Interconnection Requirements (Arizona utilities)
• Familiarity with PV System equipment, manufacturers, and balance of system
• Knowledge of communications protocols
• Experience with control systems integrated with large photovoltaic systems
• Familiarity with medium voltage (up to 34.5 kV)
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong communication skills with co-workers, clients, contractors, and building officials

A minimum of 5 years in photovoltaic design is required. BSEE degree and/or EIT or PE credentials are considered a plus but not mandatory.
