ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises students on the playground and in the cafeteria.
- Sets up cafeteria, wipes tables, and cleans spills on tables and floors.
- Supervises students in the lunch line.
- May supervise students in lunch detention.
- Assists students during lunch and helps direct them to the playground after lunch period.
- Picks up trash from tables and the floor.
- Wipes tables and seats between lunch periods.
- Sweeps under tables as needed.
- Cleans, folds up, and pushes tables to one side of the room to prepare cafeteria floor for cleaning.
- Monitors students who go to the restroom.
- May assist with emptying trash cans and replacing trash can liners.
- Safeguard and maintain the confidentiality of any student or staff information accessed or discussed at the school.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Capable of overseeing students in groups.
- Effective communicator who can relate to and build positive rapport with students, staff, and teachers, working cooperatively.
- Ability to pass background and reference checks as stipulated by District standards.
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

- Frequent communication with parents, students, and staff including the exchange of accurate information.
- Frequent interaction with students by bending body downward and forward, requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles, bending legs at knee to come to rest on knees, or sitting on the floor and resuming an upright position.
- Moving about on foot and remaining on one's feet in an upright position while supervising students.
- Raising or lowering an object ranging from 25-50 lbs.
- Exerting force upon an object so that the object moves away from the force or towards the force.
- Ascending and descending small ladder with agility.
- Required to have visual acuity to perform activities with students.
Part‑Time Position - 10 months Monday – Friday.
SALARY CLASSIFICATIONAppropriate salary placement on the Classified Hourly Salary Schedule.
EVALUATIONPerformance of this job will be evaluated by the Site Administrator and according to District Policy.
WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment is usually moderate in noise level.
